I have this sony vaio about 6 years old. Battery had an accident and is unusable.
Question is will the laptop work without the battery in place in the laptop.
Work on power alone? or does the battery need to be inserted.

I think you should be OK to work on AC w/o the battery.
PLugged in going ok, no battery. Thanks
