squid13--What is not working? Did an installation disc come with the printer? Install the printer while in XP mode
XP drivers available here (use dropdown box for the various OS's).

A disk came with it, so I install it just like I did originally in my windows 7, only do it in XP mode. I can handle that. Thank You for your reply.
squid13--Hope that does the trick. Let us know the outcome.
Didn't work. I installed the driver from the disk and it showed no printer and said it wasn't installed. I installed the driver from canon web site, same thing. Shows no printer installed but it's in the add/remove programs.
I take it this is a USB connected printer? They cause a great many problems in virtual machines, I'm sorry to say. My recommendation, if you need to do a lot of printing from within a VM, is to invest in a network printer, particularly now they can be had very cheaply. It is simplicity itself to get a network printer working from a VM.
Your right it is a usb connected printer. I just thought it would be nice to have if I needed it but I can live with out it. If I need to print something I'll just go back to Windows 7 and look it up and print it from there. If I can't do that I'll just live with out what ever it was. Thanks to everyone for your replies.
