My CPU is very old - see in my signature. In this setup I have changed graphic cards twice, PSU twice and have added lots of fans.
I am noticing that CPU seems a bit overstrechted and as everything else seems to work ok I wonder what specific CPU I could buy now to have in reserve for the expected breakdown. simple exchange.

Any of the Bartons would be a vast improvement over what you now have.
Ahah - two suggestions, one just buy the same one and have no problem at alll! or buy a Barton.

All I did was to copy the url and paste it in. Just be sure to leave a space before and after the url and it will be picked up as one.
I went from a cpu like you have to the 2500 Barton and found that my cpu temps dropped 10 C plus it cut the video work time from 1 hour and 40 minutes to 55 minutes. I thought that was a nice change.
The url does work and its brilliant - all these CPU's that would work with motherboard. My questions was: if I was going to use the 2500 Barton (yes I do) could someone give me a link howto take out old one and build in new one. I want to check what is involved.:o
Second thing: is there a place with new Barton's 2500? I seem to only see used ones, which is not a brilliant situation.

That is the problem with these older cpus, they do not make them any more and all wecan get are used ones it seems.
