Lost Mail Recipient
Hi there,
Happy New Year to ya'll.
The command, REGSVR32 SENDMAIL pasted into Start/Run, allows one to left click a file and automatically, open OE with the file attached.
I use it frequently, but the link in Send To always vanishes. I think it is because I use nCleaner, but I don't know which entry is being removed.
Any direction would be great as this is really annoying.
Many thanks,
Rex

Not sure I understand any of what you wrote.
If I want to send a mail with an attachment I:
1) Right click on the file and do Send To Mail Receipent
or
2) Open OE and attach the file

FWIW, here on this XP Pro SP3 system, with Outlook 2003 for email, the results for the command "REGSVR32 SENDMAIL" (without the quotes) is:
-
That is what I normally do also, but when right clicking the file and going to Sent To Mail Recipient, frequently Send To Mail Recipient is not there until I re-register it from Start/Run etc. etc.
So my query is, why does it vanish when I run nCleaner? Or, how do I keep it there?

Rex - couldn't you test this?
Is the "send to option" currently there NOW/right this moment?
Then - you run nCleaner and then check again to see if the Send To is there? If it's not - stop using nCleaner;) (by the way - what is nCleaner)
-
Sounds like 'nCleaner' is altering|removing something that is required for your "Send To" > "Mail Recipient" to work. Exactly what that might be would take some investigative work by someone familiar with nCleaner. I'd probably start here:
-
What is nCleaner? I actually don't know as I should have put CCleaner.
And as my brain is not in gear, I did not think of testing. Mail Recipient is there now and having just run CCleaner, it is still there. May be something is happening when booting? But I gaurentee that some time in the very near future, it will have gone.

Unless you can pin point what's removing it - you'll have to stick to the fix/work around you have now.

I have been loosing this link for too long, and reinstating it. Now I have asked the question, and have reinstated it, the bloody thing is still there.
Guess I will just have to monitor it very closely.
Thanks for the advice,
Rex
