Does Win 7 premium include a photo editor? If so, how do I find it? I can get Google's Picasa, but it's not a full featured editor. Microsoft used to have one called Picture-IT that was very good, don't think it's around anymore. Thanks.

Microsoft Paint (mspaint) is still in Windows, although it's had a fairly major upgrade.
OK, found what I was looking for. It's called "Windows Live Photo Gallery" and is included with Windows Live essentials and is a free download. You need to set up a windows live account with an ID and password after that just download the essentials package. I checked out MS Paint, it's been redesigned and upgraded and looks very nice. Thanks.
You're welcome, and thanks for the info. :)
I think I spoke too soon. Windows Live photo Gallery is not a good photo editor. So looks like I'll be checking out some 3rd party editors. Any suggestions?Quote:

jmtjet--Irfanview is a well regarded photo editor. Quite versatile and free

Get the Plug-Ins, too.
However, is it compatible with Win7? Irfanview does not come right out and say so. Just says it is compatible with ALL Windows versions since Win95.
Or there's The Gimp:

Hello folks. :) SS, I've used the Gimp for a few years with Linux, but not to sure if it's compatible with Win 7 yet. SO, I downloaded FastStone as per Train suggestion. I'm trying it out for a while-seems OK so far. Welshjim, I've used InfraView before, but it was a long time ago. I'll check that one out as well. Thanks for the suggestions. :)
I have been a faithful irfanview user, then Train told me about faststone. In my opinion, it's loads better than irfanview. Easy to use and has loads more options with it.
Yes, photolady I've noticed that as well, and it's very fast. I think that's the one I'll stick with. :)
