Problems and Issues window that suddenly appeared

The Vista x64 side of my RAID array on my 6 month old i7 desktop has been terminally fubared since all those updates on approximately mid-October, 09.

The primary problems have been:
Programs that shutdown such as:
Kaspersky Internet Security ( the latest build with the (a))
Windows Defender

and the worst:

Windows Explorer has stopped working.

Yesterday I boot to run my scans, and this new (to me) Window pops up and says:

Windows has solutions to your OS's problems.

An entire page with 78) errors that I can (conceptually) see if Microsoft has a solution for.

So I start ticking boxes in groups.

Result:
No Solutions Found.

What the hey?

Why would this dubious tool be available IF there are no fixes?

I'd like to get this corrected before I install Windows 7 over it.

I could be wrong since I frequently am, but installing a new OS over a sick one sounds like a bad idea to me.

Hoping to get some opinions before I submit a case to Microsoft (that can take weeks to get resolved).

I never knew Vista had this feature available.

Running Ultimate x64 on a RAID array with XP on the smaller of 2) drives.

Do you still think that may be the case if I told you that I ran:

Kaspersky Internet security scans daily.
SUPERantispyware scans daily.
Malwarebytes scans daily.
Windows Defender updated & quick scanned daily.
The Micro$oft malicious software removal tool 3) times a month.

These tools find.....Nothing.

(and finally)

The XP side of my desktop runs like a whirling dervish.

If you or anyone else thinks I'm under protected, I'll do that.

The only reason I hesitate is that those normally post publicly a little more than I care to offer up, and 000 of anything on this machine is embarrassing in any way shape or form.

Opinions, and if that wasn't a fast pat answer I'll do a hijack logfile.

I honestly think it's a messed up OS, but like I said....I'm wrong a LOT and may be about this.

If not, I'd be the 1st to submit that I've been Had.

I can't frapping BELIEVE that the Microsoft support people on the dang phone >>>>>>
DON"T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE between Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

I got a brand new Vista x64 Ultimate disc about 3) months ago and a promise to get a Windows 7 Prof. one, since the OS on my latest desktop was deficient from the get go......and now they want $50 to even email those Jack A**ES.

There has never been a support case created on this one!

Doc...you are tooooo nice to describe, seriously.

In Microsoft's defense, since I believe it makes for healthy relationships that always come back to me to give everyone a break, it was a holiday weekend and there's no telling what part of the world I reached.
However, when that person starts asking me:

The original vendor was an IT Professional at a local GPS Mfgr (anonymous for privacy's sake) who gets literally 100's of licenses on all Microsoft products to insure compatibility (that's his primary function) with map updates........, etc.
He installed that when he did the BIOS on my latest i7 desktop.

OS problems escalated into a for-real case, and Microsoft ended up sending me a Brand Spanking new Vista Ultimate x64 set, and a promise to send me Windows 7 Professional: "This Fall".

I am still apologetic to this community, but you'd expect better from King Micro$oft.

That's been a problem my entire life, unrealistic expectations.

What would you do with this thread going forward Doc?
Please note this in case I haven't said it:
EVERY single problem I have encountered since this fiasco started was date stamped and 100% accurate.

Try the various tools you provided me, or just gut it out & post a hijack this?

"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I'll bite the bullet & post a hijack this logfile per the instructions and pray one of my oBey stalkers can't or don't use anything to sabotage, vandalize or start the threats all over again.
They followed me here and one is a registered member with "0" posts.
