Well, the fact that it says "unlimited installs" on each of the MS products raises questions. Seems dodgy to me. They could be leaked oem licenses.
Most of their product categories are blank and/or freeware as well.
I am retired and use my computer for email, home movies and music.
If I would buy, should I get the 32bit or 64bit?
Looks EXTREMELY fishy to me. Not only the "unlimited installs" bit, but notice they are selling the 32-bit and 64-bit separately. On the legit product, BOTH the 32-bit and 64-bit disks are included. Like fink indicated, probably leaked licenses and they're selling them separately. I would pass on this one. Rip-off City....
I would go to a legit store (or site like Newegg, Amazon, Directron, etc.) and just buy the Win 7 upgrade version if you already have Vista or the full version if you don't and install the 64-bit version.
thanks for your replies. Just trying to say a few dollars.
Guess I will just wait awhile and see how things go.
What OS are you running now? If it's XP and you only do what you say with it I don't think you would see an advantage with 7.
That's a well dodgy site, with only an email address for contact details. The only thing you're likely to get from them is an empty bank account
I was running Vista, but went back to XP Pro.
I just like it better. I really don't need Windows 7,
just thought it would give me something to do.
Thanks for the replies.
quicksilver65--There are limitations versus a full retail version, but an OEM Win 7 CD from a reliable source would give you the chance to have "something to do" at a not too exorbitant price. :)

And new desktop PC's are really coming down in price. You could probably get a fairly decent one for $300 or less and that would include Win7 Home Premium. Maybe even less if you can continue to use your existing monitor. Make sure you get at least 2GB RAM.
Only catch is that some of your existing peripherals might not work with Win7.
Use the Upgrade Advisor http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...e-advisor.aspx
You will also have to reinstall all programs and back up all the personal data, since you cannot use Easy Transfer.

I reported it to Microsoft anyway.
I know there are a lot of people like me, that don't
know what to do when buying software.
This forrum is great for me, and I think there
are plenty more.
Thanks again for all the help you have given me.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
