This shows up in my log at least once a day under DNS Client Events, Event ID 1014. Name Resolution for the name www.jameswolcott.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
That site no longer exists so if one were to try and browse to it, it would not be in any DNS server list hence timing out. Why something on your PC is trying to access it I'm not sure. It seems unlikely to be malware because it's a site I used to read fairly often... mainly political editorials.
Is it possible that another site you visit on a regular basis is trying to access that site to download an ad or something?
I visit a few political sites and magazines to read so maybe one of them is trying. Main thing is I don't think it's malware either and if it was I can't connect to it.
