I have a chance to buy either win7 pro x86 or x64 for 39.75 +$8 for media
I want to put 7 pro on my desktop that has vista home premium 32 bit and 7 pro 32bit on my asus netbook that has XP home one it. I know that both will require a fresh install but will MS allow that?
If you buy a Win 7 keycode for each machine you're good to go.

I would buy a 64 bit key and media for the desktop that is a quad core and a 32 bit key and media for the netbook. I would consider just buying the 32 bit media and 2 keys by its an acidemic version and they will only let me order one of each.
both are upgrades not full version
That will be fine, there isn't any problem using an upgrade disc to go from x86 to x64, but you will have to do a clean install.
