Are there any decent DVI/USB/Audio KVM switches?

I tried looking up some, but many of them had problems.

1. Sometimes there was cross-interferance, mouse movements would appear in audio, etc.

2. Some of them don't support 1080p video.

3. And finally, some just plain don't work at all, or break down after a few weeks.

Another problem was that the price nearly blindsighted me, many of them were in the $200 range! I was looking ot spend under $100, since VGA KVMs were so much cheaper....

Anyway, does anybody know of a good DVI/USB KVM (preferably one with audio too) that dosen't cost a fortune?

There are several DVI, USB KVM switches which feature Audio support. Sadly though, you tend to get what you pay for.

The best switch in my opinion is the Adder AdderView Pro switch which comes in 3 basic types: 4 port single head, 8 port single head or 4 port multihead (dual, triple and quad). This delivers faultless DVI switching, USB and Audio. The key feature though is that this switch features USB True Emulation which essentially means you can attach any USB interface device. You will see this switch used in environments like Post Production and Graphic Design because it supports Track Balls, Jog Shuttles, Graphic Tablets etc which most other switches will not.

Normally switches just emulate the USB ports meaning you can only attach 'generic' devices (ie keyboard & mouse) but not make use of the additonal keys (eg programable/function keys). Finding a KVM switch with your specs for under $200 will be difficult. Most KVMs are use for accessing servers, which generally don't need audio, USB, or DVI connections. There are a few that might work in your proce range, but you would need to check the reviews and be able to return the unit if it didn't work out. IOGear has one that might work, and you can check NewEgg for reviews on others.
