Re:Laptop shut off

Hello all, have a HP G60 Vista Laptop 5 months old.

Problem, when i turn it on, it shuts down by itslef sometimes before it gets to the desktop. My Wife has allowed the Battery run out and it has shut down that way. The battery is working ok, it charges properly.

I turn it on, and after a few seconds and before desktop, just turns off.
Never turns off when its been in use recently, i then REStart it and it comes up with, Start windows Normally, has other choices like safe mode, but, start windows normally is highlighted.

I turn it on after choosing Start windows normally, and it is ok, no problems??

Any ideas??

I boot to Safe Mode, then reboot to windows.

I see something like that about once a month in each laptop and that fixes things for me.

Bad shutdown maybe the cause.
