I'm using Windows Home Premium SP1 64 bit. I set up a static IP address in my local connection under TCP/ IPv4 and all is OK. I notice there is also a TCP/ IPv6, should I do the same in it?

Unless you are actually using IPv6 (most people aren't), then I don't see a need to set it.
