I bought this to use on my Vista Home Premium SP1 64 bit but the Seagate Manger when installing says it's for 32 Bit only. My question is, can I still use this on my 64 bit computer. I wish these manufacturers would say in Vista if it's for 32 or 64 bit or both. They just say vista, and having just moved to vista I'm learning the hard way. The part number of the drive is 9ZC2A3-500.
Why do you need the Seagate Manager? You don't need special software to access the drive.
I don't know why I need it I'm new to these external hard drives. What purpose does it serve. and can you remove it and still put your images on the drive?
I explored my Seagate. Made a folder and put all the junk for the program in the folder.
Out of sight and now it does not try to run either.
Train did you just make a new folder in the drive and then just drag all that stuff into it?

I always reformat the drive to NTFS anyway.
The manager app is probably in the autorun.inf. As I mentioned, it's not required for you to use the drive. You can treat it like any other hard drive; just drag and drop files.

Add a Drive Icon to your Flash drive
That trick works on external hard drives also. It makes it easier to know which drive is the external. Especially helpful if you take the extHD to another computer.
