Dear all,
Is there a way to capture a video from a web-site. I am using IE 8.0.6001.18702.

I heard that when I visit web-sites, there is a temp file inside Windows that holds the contents, and the video could be stored there as a buffer. Can anyone show me how ?

After viewing the clip go directly to:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
In your case it's a shockwave file and is saved as POR_english[1].swf so you'd need a shockwave viewer or you'd need to extract the movie from the shockwave file.
If you have the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed. While at the site and after you let the movie play all the way thru'. Create a folder on your desktop or wherever it's easy to find.Open and minimize it. If you are using I.E., keep the browser open. Go up to Tools>Internet options>settings button under temporary internet files>View files button>on the window that opens,go up top to>view>arrange icons>by type. Scroll over to the ones with the ".flv" extensions. Highlight these and right click them. Click 'copy'. Max the folder you created. Right click anywhere in folder and click paste. You can doubleclick these and they will play with the old Windows media player 6.4. You can use a program such as Super to convert them to any vid format you like. :)
Good call RR.. I didn't see those when I looked last time... I thought it was an avi or wmv file embedded in the single swf file.
they're called welcome.flv, deepwaters.flv, operational.flv and dutchtrade.flv, end.flv and trains.flv. (all part of the shockwave download)
Onebignewbie.. empty your browsers cache before you perform the operation so it's easier to find them.
(which I should probably have done the first time LOL)
