RC 7100 slow install
I reformatted the HD that I had the RC 7000 version and went to install RC 7100 and it just keeps on going when it gets to "Completing Installation."
I have waited for an hour but nothing happens. There is still activity and it does not freeze, it just doesn't seem to want to complete.
RC 7000 went without a hitch.
Running it from the CD and when it gets to the point of asking me where to install, it says there are no HD's.
Is that because I have the RAID0 setup? How can I get around it?
If I alter the RAID setup in BIOS, will that stuff up the RAID0 later, or will I be able to just go back in and reset it to the RAID configuration?
Have 3 HD's. 2 are in RAID0, one is partitioned, so there are 'C' 'D' and 'E'
I'm trying to install on 'E' where the other version of 7 was.

Maybe you need to do the F6 early on and use your floppy with raid drivers??

Not trying to install it on the RAID setup though. Just on the other HD. I did this 3-4 weeks ago with the earlier RC and I ran it from Windows and had no problem.
I can run it from Windows now and it recognises all the drives, but it just takes forever to run.
I may just try it overnight one night. Might even redownload the iso file :(.

I had to disconnect all ribbons from my ATA133 card to get it to install correctly.

Update. I downloaded the latest RC and I am still having problems :(.
Gets past the first stage of copying files over, but then I get an error message saying "Windows installation cannot continue because a required driver could not be installed."
Any idea what this could be? I am trying to install from Windows as I did when I originally installed the Beta 7 version.

Couple specs of dust on the dvd drive could cause this;)

I've tried it from the HD too and got the same message. I have formatted the drive (several times) that I am attempting to install to. It's really wierd 'cos I have already installed the beta 7 to that drive, the same way I am trying now.
