Where did you enter that info? If under Computer Name, you can change that by right click "My Computer" chose Properties, then the computer name tab. If another place as in user profile, you should be able to change that in user control panel, in the control panel.
Posted at Microsoft:
1. Click Start, and then click Run....
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
4. To change the company name, do the following:
In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
5. To change the name of the registered owner, do the following:
In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOwner. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
6. Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.
Thanks Shinma, that's the other one I couldn't remember the path for.
You're most welcome. :)
Thanks Shinma and photolady! I did go into Control Panel and change Users. But that didn't change my name everywhere. Documents and Settings has a folder named Antho :) Sure there are others with the same error. So if I change it in regedit it will change it everywhere? Hope so. Not certain if it's Company Name. But I'll find it.
Thanks again.
Regedit will only change the owner of the computer to Anthony. The documents and settings is associated with user accounts and you'll have to create a new user named Anthony, and delete that one "Antho"
