I haven’t noticed anything particularly weird going on with my machine, but they’re making a huge fuss over that at their forums, and I noticed a few here too
http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/i...2BTrojan.Vundo
I quarantined it for weeks and removed it a couple of days ago.
It hasn’t reappeared since then and I scan several times daily when I’m surfing a lot.
What IS the Consensus here, please?
Trojan Vundo description from Malwarebyte’s site
If you google that dang thing, there are supposedly some removal tools at symantec.
I printed the removal instructions (4 pages) from majorgeeks (Great site!).....and it's fairly complicated.

A mistake about major geeks "fix"
I was in a hurry all day yesterday.
Glad that's over.
My last post is not ackurete regarding the symantec fix on majorgeeks.
They are NOT quite the same.
The only way I know how to stop all running programs (as instructed) is to:
Quote:
Restart computer in Safe Mode.
So that's an assumption I made that's not stated on majorgeeks.
All I know for sure is:Malwarebytes should probably be part of your anti-malware arsenal.
My personal lawn guard gopher prefers an H&K MP5.......
