Spyware Doctor
Hi,
Has anyone else noticed that Spyware Doctor v6 breaks Windows 7? After upgrading to v6, I can no longer use UNC paths (or 'Net View' at the command prompt). Uninstalling Spyware Doctor fixed the issue and running the old v5.5 seems to work too. Just don't upgrade to v6.
Anyone else experience this?

Personally, I don't recommend Spyware Dr.

Although pretty much any software that runs on Vista will run on Windows 7, some incompatibilities are bound to occur until the software developers can catch up to the new OS. If you have already check their site and didn't find any info, then you can either wait until they make a compatibility announcement, try to run it in Compatibility Mode, or just find an equally good spyware program.

There are several vendors out there who have antivirus and spyware software that will run in Windows 7, Norton and McAffee being two of them. Norton's Win 7 solution is currently available in Beta and is a free dowload and is what I am using on my Win 7 installations until Windows One Care has a version that will protect Windows 7

Windows OneCare as being useless is being discontinued as of July 1st (I believe).
Norton, and McAfee - stay away.

Avira and malwarebytes work just fine.
