Friend has been trying to install 2wire software after reformat.. it will not install completely because says it is not detecting the modem........ but the device manager shows the modem is working properly and he can connect to the internet....... Using a Homeportal 1000HW modem network router
I was going to add if everything is working why bother with the software..?
Unless you really need something in the software, leave it on the cd.
Exactly, if it isn't broken, dont try to fix it........
I was found today that the 2wire icon on the tool bar is grayed out, but the connection works......... it seems he has a two fold problem going on also with Explorer 6 which I will post where need be..... both problems are on the same p/c.AT&T checked his p/c remotely and seen no problem on there end... he did uninstall software utility.. They did the same for me and I still had a problem.. They came to the house and had to replace all the equipment to correct.......
