Receiving SPAM from myself
In the last week or so I've started receiving a lot of SPAM apparently sent by me to me. When I check the properties of the "From" address it links back to my email.
I've run a deep system scan with BitDefender and there are no viruses or spyware. I've also scanned with SpyBot and got the same results, except for 1 cookie.
My IP provides a spam, virus and spyware filter, and I have BitDefender set to scan all incoming mail and downloads and it seems to do a pretty good job. My IP said to do a virus scan and if that don't work to change my email address. It's not that simple as I have that email address on a lot of resumes and job applications at this time.
Any suggestions? It's annoying more than anything.
Receiving Spam from myself
Thank you for the responses. For Fink:
Here are the logs you said I should post. For some reason I can't just copy and paste the file. I had to open it to copy. Also, something in the process you outlined killed my internet connection. I couldn't get it going and my ISP Tech sSupport couldn't handle on the phone. They fiannly sent a rep who upgraded the DSL modem and made some changes to the Connections under Internet Options. I can surf and get mail but he could not get it to go into the new Modem so he could configure it, he had to do that but logging into the modem with hsi laptop.
