minacross--Thanks for the heads-up. A quick glance looks like AAPlus for free.
The link to how AA AE compares to other antimalware programs is interesting. My experience is that AdAware 2008 (Free) is one of the biggest resource hogs around--when running a scan. I really can't do anything else when running an AA 2008 scan.
I use it because it is free and so far seems not to hurt. I'll try AA AE out shortly after monitoring the AA forum.
At one point I would have been rejoicing for a deal like this, but today, IMO, Ad-Aware in any form is not worthwhile anymore. Malwarebytes AntiMalware and SuperAntiSpyware are leaps and bounds better. I never install free AA any more and if I find it on a PC, I remove it because the later free versions run a full time service that does nothing but steal resources... :(
Ad-Aware Free - Anniversary Edition w Real-time protection.
Is the ad-Aware Free - Anniversary Edition 100% free and only costs
if you ad Real-time protection.
Their web site says minimal resource uses. Does this edition use less
resource than ad aware 2008? and do a better job?
