Don't Let Norton Work On Your Computer
....remotely.
Guess what, I was recently booted out of Norton for not making the sales.....that's hard to do, because your getting callers calling BACK complaining how their computer was never fixed OR worse YEt....the remote technician damaged their system files.
Here's something from another tech from Norton who wasalso recently booted from Norton's call center:
--------
I told my husband about having to do cold transfers only to have the same people call back to complain about the long wait times and then getting dinged for taking the calls. He thinks the whole thing stinks.
I had been a long time Norton customer, but I have since removed Norton and replaced it. I am not sure if I want to deal with a company who places pushing sales above good customer service. It is not the way I would want to be treated if I had a problem with my computer.
I will risk taking my computer to a local computer repair before allowing someone I have never met to get into my computer.
I took one call from someone who says that he had thousands of dollars worth of software on his computer plus a lot of sensitive employee and customer information. Whoever worked on his computer must have taken everything out because he says it is all gone: his software, and business records.
He does have back ups for the business stuff but was very upset thinking that someone may now have access to information that could do some real damage if got into the wrong hands.
Oh well, It was fun while it lasted. Onward and upward.
