Hi all,
When I got married a few weeks ago my wife negotiated with the photographer to give us a copy of the RAW files to use as we wanted. I am looking for a free windows software that will allow me view and manipulate RAW photos.
I am already using Picasa which does a great job with my jpegs but am not sure if it will work with RAW.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The program I use with my Raw files is FastStone Image Viewer

and it will ask to go out and get Net framework 3.0 so let it.
It will work with these raw files.

5 MB raw converts to about a 19 MB tif for me.
FWIW, Microsoft has a RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP

So I see. I like using the M$ print pictures bit.
Now if that would work in Vista. No I have not looked or tried yet. It would be a good thing!
Well I loaded the NEF files onto the computer and XP originally listed the files as a Nero Encrypted File. After downloading the M$ Viewer all is now well.
