I am just curious what are acceptable core temps for this processor? I would like to overclock the processor a little bit but I want to make sure I don't kill it in the process.

Keep in at or below 65 C

Ok thanks, I am nowhere near 149*F so I should be fine.
I do have another question though. I am running the Abit autodrive and I wanted to make it start with Windows so I added the program to my startup folder. On startup it says that the program couldn't start because a DLL was missing. Is there a better way to get this program to start with windows?
65 degree Celsius = 149 degree Fahrenheit
Most of us do not deal with F, so when posting please use C.
Even though I am in the States, with computers, C is the thing. Why I had to do the above conversion. :(
Have you looked in teh preferences for that program? They usually have a place where you can tell it to start automatically.
There are several different versions of the 3000+, the Clawhammer and Newcastle cores have a max temp of 70C, and the Winchester and Venice cores have a max of 65C.
Heck I get the hebegbees if my system get to the mid 40's C. Thats why I like Themaltake towers and Thermaltake and Zalman HS& fans. Arctic silver paste works well also.
Nothing bad about that mid 40's bit at all. :D
Well my Core temps are usually 40*-42* and a bit more when I overclock a little.
Train I looked in the programs pref's and there is no option to have the program startup when windows starts. Any other idea's?
Duh, I should read a little better :).
Uninstall the program, reboot, reinstall, reboot, now try the start folder again.
But make sure the lens in cd/dvd player is clean and the cd/dvd is clean also. That includes no finger prints too.
Does not take much sometimes to ruin a install.
