I'm loking to gat a laptop but want one with a backlit keyboard. The Apple Macbook Pro has one but at $3200, it's a little bit out of my price range. Do you know of any other manufacturers that have a backlit keyboard with a 17" screen? Thanks.

Sorry I don't, but it's a cool feature.
Cheap and nasty method would be to purchase a usb snake light - you can pick them up for about $5.
