Suprised their hasn't been any comment's on this video
Well, I just finished listening to this video. Being that he is a Baptist Minister, I am inclined to believe some of what he is saying. Not sure what we can do to stop it. If he is correct we are in deep trouble. The Iran Iraq thing sure does make sense. I always felt this was a war for oil, just didn't know exactly what we gain from it. This is really scary as you have said.
The American Dollar does seem to be collapsing. It is getting harder and harder to make ends meet and gas prices don't help. This is definatley a doomsday book and video.
Here's the link to at least part of his book. I don't know if each chapter is complete here, in fact I'm pretty sure it aint, but here it is anyway. http://www.reformation.org/energy-non-crisis.html
I don't know what each of us can do to stop it but in that he is also selling a book, that lots don't or won't buy , until it actually makes the national news no one will be able to stop it.
imadreamer2 As you are the only one that has replied to this post it's got me wondering, We both live in central part of USA . We are or I am almost what you would call out back I live in very rural area. I Work with the production of Livestock,Grain = food in it's original state. Why is Video like this so alarming to us? Is it because I feel closer to the Land/Country/Nation than those living the big city's?
What he failed to bring up, is that they are dedicated War Reserves that were so designated back in the late 40's or early 50's, I forget exactly when that designation was placed on it.
As for power generation, I like this idea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nellis_Solar_Power_Plant
MMA Renewable Ventures, who own the panels, is leasing the land at no cost and Nellis is agreeing to buy the power for 20 years at about 2.2 cents/kWh, instead of the 9 cents they are paying to Nevada Power, saving the Air Force $1 million each year. None of the $100 million cost came from the Air Force.
I have seen the setup and like the idea.
A couple of things, the guy who ended up helping him with the proper wording and adding a chapter to the book, orginally got fired. Then helped him and them got hired back. I think he has some valid points although it is surprising he hasn't met with an accident. If all he says is true I am sure someone would be trying to kill him. I don't care what some say, I put nothing past our government. And I have always thought the Bushes were oil men.
I am definatly feeling the pinch at the gas pump. We in Iowa have ethenol which uses corn to make it and as long as the state is funding it, ethenol which is mid grade is cheaper. I forget when this funding thing ends but when it does mid grade will go back up to higher than regular. I haven't had a raise in two years but believe me our gas has went up lots in those two years, and I work at a convenient store that sells BP gas. Contrary to what most people think, we do not get our gas at a discount.
On the other hand, I feel about it the same way I feel about global warming, God didn't make the climate so fragile that we, man, could change it. It is like the Mississippi River here in Davenport, they spent tons of money to, "stop the yearly flood", it didn't work. We still get a flood. When the muddy ole Mississippi deciedes to go on a rampage, man can not stop it.
If what he says is totally true, again, what can we do to stop it.
I sure hate it, everything has went up. My gas and light bill went up, not my usage, my water bill and sewer bill went up, not my usage and so did the trash and recycling bill. Have you noticed, meat is awfully high at the grocery store, and I have noticed other things going up at the grocery store. Where I used to spend 25 to 35 dollars a week I now spend between 40 and 50. Course then you have my car, not using any more gas, but costing almost double what it used to.
Ethenol is 3.49, regular 3.69, ultimate 3.99 and diesel is 4.19. I don't know what is it with the 9's. Almost always ends with 9. LOL That was as of yesterday and it had went up 20 cents on last Wednesday, so who knows what it will be today when I get to work.
I do remember reading or hearing about three years ago that the oil cartel wanted to get gas prices in America up to what it is overseas. In other countries when we were enjoying 1.69 it was always higher.
Monday I saw.
$3.79 for regular
That bit was published in about every country in the world, except this one, clear back in 1973.Quote:

Hi, as long as the public believe there are oceans of oil there will be less pressure on ALL of us to find alternative energy sources this guy is as mad as most American religous idiots and more then just a little dangerous. No doubt the oil companies love him thank god those of us who know can see through this. Support research into sustainable energy resources those that do not contribute to a poisoned world for our children
The new VW Golf hybrid car gets 69 MPG on diesel but haven't heard much about it. Could it be that big oil has killed the project? If VW can do this then why can't all car manufacturers do this?

Greed is killing the very plant we live on.
I have switched in my operation from a 3/4 ton PU to driving a Festiva from the 90's which gets me 40+ mpg in highway driving, How ever this keeps me from hauling a horse with me to do the work I do. Yes this is quite a savings compared to the 10 to 12 MPG I was getting But only works when I don't have to carry equipment for Livestock work. The other part of my lively hood is working on pc's and the small car works really well for that. In regards to your ? on the VW Golf Hybred most of those type of cars would work for a run around car but initial cost is enough that you would have to drive them quite a distance to recoup the loss. I recently (on Yahoo) read a article on a new small car that gets 150 mpg on diesel, would travel across US on 3 tank fills now that would be more like what we need. However I don't personally think that consumption is what drives the price up.Also read a article from a opec rep that said if their was any shortage they would produce more oil. So what really is a person out here in the hills supposed to believe?
Find and shot the speculators I guess.
Got so it is cheaper to get a motel room, so we sold the camper and are fixing to sell the van. 10 mpg.
Driving a Mazda 5 - averaging about 27 - 28mpg, but since it is easy to get in and out of. :D :D
The greedy beasturds at the top of the pile are panicking.... they know that the oil will be gone soon..therefore they have to make their billions.,, while they can... that would be the bankers..politicians...arms manufacturers...oil companies..{all war profiteers} Perhaps if everyone blocked the tankers from filling up the gas stations..don't allow the product to hit the market. General strike...Stand Up..Fight the Beasturds. Unfortunately no one fights back anymore.
Get a Smart car...one that runs on air....punch in your co-ordinates and away you go...no more accidents no more DUI's..insurance companies dream.
I don't drive I prefer a horse.

Guess I disagree with the oil being gone soon I am more inclined to believe (Like in the film clip)their is enough oil for generations to come. I would worry more about the results of how we handle it plus many more of our national resources. I live on the Ogallala aquifer supposedly the largest aquifer in the US. I believe we will see a shortage of drinkable water before we see a shortage of oil. I consider myself a caretaker of the land but am opposed to some of the things I see trying to be done, To conserve our resources. Hopefully the scientist's of the world can figure this all out so we can all live on to eternity as a human species.
Well I totally agree with you regarding tha water wars, however, the oil wars are happening right now..TODAY! The water is being privatized..this has been taking place for many years. No one should have to pay for air or water, the sustenance of life. We have artesian well water in the town I live. No chemicals, no taste, pure cool clear water..water...Old Dan and I, with throats burned dry, An' souls that cry for water...water......
Cool....Clear...Water...Waterrrr...
Hmm..sorry about that went a wee bit off the rails there.
California still owes BC millions for water this has been going on for about 6-7 years. Way too many swimming pools.
A word of advice for the invaders, gear up to protect against an influx of attack beavers. While you are here harvesting our water and the last ten years of oil, we will be standing on our legs (we use them to walk) next to our smart cars or horses, wondering what it is that you are dying for.

I watched the video...
All I can say is....can I have that hour and a half of my life back? :p
Sorry....standard "New World Order" conspiracy theory with a few new twists. They come a dime a dozen. Like all of the conspiracy theories, it contains many sound facts, but in the weaving of them and the connecting of them....paranoia runs amock. I have no doubt that the oil companies have politicians in their pockets and that the world bank manipulates markets to some degree. I also agree that world oil reserves are being drastically underestimated. But yet another "Illuminati" theory is all I got from the video.
Besides....Lindsey Williams doesn't seem to have the best reputation. A quick Google turned up two articles on Rense.com. Rense is a POS website best known for UFO stories and anti-semitic tirades. Other articles appear on militia/survivalist type websites. He simply isn't credible to me.
Peak Oil is real. Simply read up on how oil is formed and under what very unique set of circumstances is required over millions of years. That alone should demonstrates it is a finite resource. Being finite....there must be a half-way point of consumption...no? It can be argued whether we are there yet or not....but it's existence cannot be denied. The party is over and it's not the world bank's fault...nor some mysterious cabal hiding in the shadows. We did it to ourselves. Do we really need those huge pick-ups and SUV's? Look at a large city and the empty skyscrapers with all the lights burning. I've been on two flights in my life....and both times the plane was half-full of people. Why? Because we can't be bothered to wait for a flight....we want one going to wherever want, and we want it now.
I could go on....but you get the point. We waste, waste, waste.....and have done it for a hundred years. :(
