joeboy--NOTE--You have not told us what email program you are using. And you have not told us whether you use a web-based email provider.
If you can access the web page server of your email provider there is an outside chance that some, if not all, of your email is still there. You could then just redownload the messages.
If that is not possible, there are undelete programs for recovering deleted files and folders from your hard drive. Before using such a program you should understand that when you delete something, the space on the hard drive still has the data. You just cannot access it through the normal means and Windows thinks that space is available for writing new data. That means you should avoid writing to the hard drive as much as possible before trying to recover the files, including downloading an undelete program to the harddrive--assuming you have that option.
A free undelete program called Restoration is small enough to fit on a floppy, so if you have a floppy drive download Restoration to it and run Restoration from there.

If you have no floppy drive and do not want to buy a USB plug in floppy drive, you can download and run Restoration from your hard drive, recognizing the risk mentioned above.
If you deleted entire email folders, you probably know that Outlook Express emails are in folders with the .dbx extension and Outlook folders are .pst. And probably the undelete program will report the extensions as .db and .ps. In both cases, you will be looking for folders with names like Inbox, Sent Items, etc. I do not know what Netscape email's extensions are. If you deleted invidual messages, you will be looking for some of words that appeared in the Subject line.
There are many undelete programs specifically for recovering deleted email but they are very expensive

Perhaps the best of the bunch is http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx and it is among the cheaper ones.
thanks for the info. Ihave outlook express.is their a way to use a c/d instead of a floppy:)
joeboy--Possibilities:
1) Do you have a USB flash drive? Download to it and run from there.
2) Do you have more than one hard drive on your PC? Download to it and run from there.
(A different partition might not avoid the problem mentioned, so save it for #4.)
3) If you have another PC, you could download to it, burn the program to a CD and run the CD on the PC from which you deleted the email.
4) See #2 above.
If no to all, you would have to download to your Hard drive and run Restoration (or any of the other programs) from there.
Other free undelete programs

I assume you cannot see what email is on your email provider's web site.
Download this and burn it to a CDR - it has all those utilities on it, plus many other useful apps. It is a bootable CD, so you don't need to bother with a floppy.
Ultimate Boot CD
SuperSparks--But the Ultimate Boot CD has to be downloaded to something. And if the something is the harddrive containing the lost emails, the emails may be overwritten. UBCD is a very large download. (Around 100MB depending on version.)
If a program has to be downloaded to the harddrive, I would think the smallest undelete program would be best. That is Restoration.
P.S. I agree that having a boot disk around is a very good idea. It just does not seem to fit joeboy's present needs. And if UBCD is going to be used, the version for Windows may be best
