1998 memory price
I ran across this print-out for my first computer, a HP 6640C, AMD K6-2/500 Mhz. It used pc100 memory and I have written on the print-out that a 128MB stick of pc100 ram is $169.00...:eek: , and that was at Best Buy.
I sure am glad that prices have come down!!

Some of us remember when adding memory meant getting out the soldering gun ;)

Yes well maybe it was better then (A better fit,less chance of things getting loose,etc)

Back in the 70's RAM prices were close to a million bucks per meg. :)

I seem to recall that in the early to mid 90's RAM modules were worth more than their own weight in gold. Over here there were many cases of thieves breaking into offices and simply stealing the RAM out of PCs and leaving everything else.
