Used Computer.. Clicking Sound
Hey all, my old computer's hard drive just recently crashed.. I've been told reinstalling Windows XP is going to fix it.
Anyways, in the meantime, I'm using an old used computer that my dad bought for my grandmother just recently. I'm trying to get it in as good of shape as possible (without bumping up the RAM or any hardware like that).
Recently I've been hearing a clicking noise through the speakers - not anything physical, it's the sound effect that plays when you click a link or open a new window in IE.. but I'm using firefox.
I'm wondering if this could be some kind of spyware that I could fix easily via HJT rather than having to run a time and resource consuming spware blasting program.
See if you can come up with anything, thanks!
