Hi all,
Hopefully this is posted to the correct forum section.
I would like to be able to access my pop3 account from behind a firewall which blocks pop access. Is there any software or method in helping me out with this.
Email clients are either Mozilla-Thunderbird or Outlook 2003.

Not that I know of, unless your email provider uses an unusual port for Pop3.
Lots of employers block pop3 and other external email connections for security reasons. It can easily be a firing offense to circumvent a company policy regarding internet access for personal use.
If you have no control over the firewall and cannot open the corresponding ports, can you access the POP server using the web?

I can access my webmail, but prefer to use a client instead.
It's much easier to check my email with & get notification of incoming mail.
I'm sure there's method for doing this... my only other alternative is tunnelling to my home PC, but that mean leaving it on most of the day.
Are we talking home or business? I'm going to assume home because the home PC has access...
If so, configure the email client of the home PC to leave the messages on the email server for a few days. This would give you the ability to download the email from your other location directly from the server (just like at home.)
Be sure to not let the secondary PC delete the email from the server. Leave that control with the home one...
Presuming you are not violating company policy and port 25 (SMTP) is open, you can create a rule on your mail account on the server to forward mail to you at work while still leaving it for you to pick up from your home email client.
