Bought something off eBay.

Went to pay and it gave me the name and address of the seller.

They were in the same country.

They were in the same state.

They were in the same suburb.

Their street was different but ours intersects with it and their house was on the corner of their street and ours - about 300m door to door.

My wife knew the seller becuase her daughter went to the same school as my son.

And they are in the same class !!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

My wife offered her the full amount ie inlcuding postage but she (seller) said no and just took item cost.

So we saved $2.

My wife also commented on the amazing coincidence and the seller told her that once before they'd sold an item through eBay and it was to the person across the the street.

ie seller at #150 sellers rd, then our street then buyer at #152 sellers rd. :eek: :eek:

So basically the two corner houses on the interesction of my street and the sellers st.

Even spookier.

I bought a vidcard on eBay last year from a seller listing himself as being in Everett WA. After I paid for it using PayPal, I got a long email from the seller, who was my old next-door neighbor Dewey on Fender Drive in Lynnwood (an Everett suburb)! He said he uses Everett because no one's ever heard of Lynnwood. My wife has bought stuff from people she knew in Leominster Mass. as well. I guess it happens more than one would expect.

BTW, that cheap so-and-so Dewey wouldn't discount on the shipping.:D
