Varies depending on brand and model.
thanks for the info. I read somewhere else where the poster stated that he didn't use any anti-virus programs because they were resource hogs and slowed down his system so all he uses is a hardware firewall. I said that Norton and MacAfee were certainly notorious for causing more harm than good but that a good anti-virus program shouldn't slow down a computer.
I didn't know anything about how a hardware firewall worked...but I knew that I could get some info here.
One of the primary factor with a dedicated firewall is costs.
Hence businesses primary clients as a result.
I am new and not sure if this is the right place, but I have been trying to install Panda Security Internet System 2007 onto my computer. I previously had the 2005 version, which I had no problem installing but my time was up for the year and needed to install the newer version. When I to the installtion the program states that I have "AVG virus system" on my computer and must remove it before I can proceed. I have almost everywhere trying to find out how to remove the AVG virus system from my computer. Can you help me?
Go into add/remove and uninstall it.
