Using XP and Outlook Express.
Lately, have been having problems sending large data or voice attachments to OE. OE has a feature which allows for breaking up of the attachment, by going to the Advanced tab of mail properties. One can select the break point, e.g., 60 kb or some other number. However, no suggestion is given as to what that break number should be.
What number should I select as a break point for my attachments?
The help file doesn't mention anything about breaking up attachments...OE doesn't have a limit of attachment file size. However, ISP's do have a limit.
How large is the attachment and have you considered compressing it.

Thanks for the response. I may have to come back to this problem, but for the time being, I am going to go with Thunderbird. If the problem still exists, will revisit this forum.
aob--As Steve R Jones has said, the problem could be the email service provider. If so, changing browsers won't help.
You should ask the email service provider what their limit is. Some are about 1MB, some at 2MB, etc. You can then compress the file or break it up accordingly.

I agree, presuming the problem is not with the email service. I am now using thunderbird. If I encounter the same problem, then I will ask my ISP what is a practical size limit.
