Trillian...ICQ...???
I used to have ICQ but now I just have MSN IM. What are your opinions...likes...dislikes...about the all inclusive IM programs such as Trillian..ICQ...Yahoo..??
I have a friend whose family members are using Yahoo and he and I have been using MSN IM but now he's gonna get Yahoo so he can easily IM with his family.
I wouldn't mind using another IM program but I certainly don't want to open myself up to spyware or other bad stuff.
So....what do ya'll think??

Trillian is considered the most secure of all those IM type programs. It supports pretty much all the major protocols.. AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. But you still need to be security conscious and turn off any kind of autodownloading and file transfer options etc.

I guess that I had not been paying much attention but I thought that MSN IM worked like Trillian or ICQ....hmm...I don't know where I got that idea...probably out of thin air..ha..!!
Well, maybe I'll give Trillian a try...but I'm not in a big hurry...I'll think about it some.
thanks...

The nice thing about Trillian is that it lets you access those other programs without having to install them. If you have a user name and password for the programs, that's all trillian needs to connect you...

Thanks for the feedback...looks like Trillian is the one to go with.
