[RESOLVED] from e-mail to cd's

My daughter has been e-mailing me some short 15sec. videos of Brooke, my Granddaughter. They are in QuickTime....and they are real cute to watch & listen to...and now I want to burn all of those short videos to cd. Here's what I tried...the e-mail page that had the video clip as an attachment at the top I saved to My Doc's...right clicked on the saved file that had the option to send to cd...and it burned the file to cd....but...when I play the cd , it takes me to the e-mail sign in box...I have to sign in...go to my e-mail page and open the file again....around in circles I go...

I just need to be able to burn the video to cd...play the cd...see & listen to my Granddaughter.

QuickTime wants me to pay $30.00 for their Pro version which seems like it will do what I need to do...not real sure about that....I would figure that there is another way to do that without paying $30.00...??

Edit: forgot to add: I have Nero Express...tried several times to get something to work...maybe I just didn't set it up correctly?

If you get the Quicktime Alternative (and the Realtime alt. for that matter) you should be able to play them. These alternative programs are free and use the classic media player to play Quick and Realtime vids/audio. If you don't have a good codec set,you might consider the K-Lite codec packs offered on the same page...

Ridgerunr...I can already play the videos from the e-mail attachment...it's when I try and burn the video to cd that it gets complicated...like I tried to carefully explain in 1st post. I need to be able to burn the video only...not the whole e-mail thing...:o

I went to the site that you gave....early last year I did have to add some codec's in order for WMP to play some stuff that I had....but how will downloading those codecs solve my situation...:confused: Is there something that I am just completely missing..:confused: ( nothing new there...:D )

Okay...I figured it out....:) . on the opened e-mail page that contains the attachment at the top...I went to the right side of the page where it says 'save attachment'...it saves the video in the QuickTime format...and then I can burn it to cd...and it plays back just like I was wanting...Hooray!!:) :)

What I was doing wrong was trying to right click the attachment and saving from that spot...all it did was save it as an attachment file....didn't work.
