Split Screen
I need software to split a single monitor into 3 or more segments that can have different resolutions to be able to run multiple programs at the same time at full sizes in different "zones" of a 42 inch widescreen display. Essentially we want to run a web app in one corner using half the width of the screen from left to right and 2/3 the width from top to bottom and the same for the left half of the screen and then a third application at the bottom that is 1/3 high and the complete width of the monitor. Dimensions are rough for example purposes.
Ok virtual drs.....solve this patient dilemma :-)
I looked at a program called split view, but it does not allow for full resolution in each split

Can I get you some fries with that order:eek:
You might look at VirtualPC or VMware. Both are free these days.
Might also look at this MS Freebie:
Virtual Desktop Manager
Manage up to four desktops from the Windows taskbar with this PowerToy.

Hey Steve,
From what I understand about Desktop Manager, is it works very similar if not the same as ATI's Hydravision which comes with the video card we are using to display the computer output onto the 42 inch plasma panels.
What exactly that have asked me to do is basically put up a local cable access information channel as you see in most towns one channel has random information with a scrolling news feed at the bottom that has random information such as birthday wishes, stuff like that.....they would also like to display call center statistics and the like.
I will look into Vmware and VPC once I get to work today.....will post back my findings.
