I was surprised to see a moment ago that Microsoft pulled RC2 from distribution yesterday, but I see nothing about the reason behind it. Got any news as to why the sudden yank of this release?

I did read a short passage on a non-discript news-mail that ms had decided to put it into production straight away, hence the withdrawl.
But that would be gossip i think and nothing more.
They generally only release X number of the download.
