I am trying to backup the C Drive on a Windows NT Server by using the Windows NT Backup Utility. I keep getting a Tape Drive error message saying Unrecognized Data when I insert the tape that I want to backup up on. Any ideas?

It turns out that the Seagate Hornet STT220000N Tape Drive was bad. That is what was causing the error message.
Good to hear you found a solution; thanks for posting back. A heck of a lot easier to replacing a tape drive than a hard drive eh? :)
