I'd like to thank the academy.....and all the little people that made this day possible....
The win98 people that needed scanreg /fix and scanreg /restore....because they gave up on all the other fixes.
The winME people who needed regsvr32.exe /i thumbvw.dll when a sloppy graphics program pooched their registry....
The winXP people that needed to find where to shut off the XP firewall and install a real one....
The poor people who struggled with Quicktime image viewer....before being told to wise up and install the wonder program, Irfanview.
The poor woman who wanted to delete all the executables on her system....because she felt that any executable is potentially a virus, so why take a chance. (Remember her from about 5 years ago?)
....and all the people that just kept on installing download accelerators packed with juicy first generation spyware. Gator anybody?

Gator!!! Oooooh how I hated that insipid little piece of crap :D
..... and that hoax reminds me of another one I remember from way back.... can't quite remember all the details.... but it involved a teddy bear icon in some folder that MUST BE REMOVED...... it was a terrible virus that would wreck your machine :p
That thread brought back lots of memories.. not about deleting the exe's but a number of formerly busy members we haven't seen a lot of in a while, like S.P.Y., Goldust, JT Doom, slipe, sting, Cowboy, Murf... and even Snarkie is a blast from the past.
