At the end of June thru the middle of August we have what is called the monsoon season, thats where we get storms coming in from the gulf of Mexico & they collide with conditions over Az. This causes major thunder & lightening storms to develop just about every afternoon. This evening right after dinner I captured this pic just out side my back door. SW

Ooooh I like that too. I have always loved thunderstorms... love to sit out on the porch and watch them as a kid ... no porch now... so I watch them from my bedroom windows ;)

Thx so much SW. This gives me a full-baked idea (for a change)--maybe we should start a new thread just for members to attach their favorite desktop images for download. I know there was one around somewhere here for showing off desktops, but those had the icons and all.
I moved to San Diego from Tucson due to my wife. Used to sit out on the porch and watch the storms roll down the Rincon Mountains with as many as 30 blasts of lightening per minute. They would be about two miles away at that point, so the thunder would be awesome. I miss that.
I miss playing golf in the sun at 2pm when the temp is 117 in the shade.
You can play golf in a thunderstorm, you know. Just hold a two iron over your head. Not even God can hit a two iron.
It came out very nice. My wife likes it so much she had me put it on her desktop in the family room, too. Iconoid is also installed, so unless you've recently used the mouse or closed a program the wallpaper's all you see.
