I am cleaning up the HD of a computer with Win95A as the OS. I cannot get it to delete the temp internet files in Windows.Is there some trick to this? Also was wondering if I could install Win 95B over the top of Win95A without loosing any data? There seems to be no provision in the tools of W95A for checking disk drive space.Any input would be appreciated..Thanks.

In explorer, highlite the Temp Internet directory, then go to the menu and select all, once all are selected hit the del key or go to the menu and select file delete. They will not disappear until you refresh, then they should be gone (view/refresh).
As for installing "B" over "A" yes you can, but it is not recommended. The swap file, kernel32 file etc. are different and you could be taking a chance of hitting the wrong button when it ask you do you want to replace the file, plus the registry could be screwed up. Now you could delete these files prior to installing. What data are you talking about, if you uninstall windows 95, all you programs will stay (it will just remove windows 95).
I would recommend a clean install of the "B" version and if you have all your other data backed up, I would re-format the drive and take advantage of the FAT32 capabilities of the "B" version. It frees up space and you will find access to the HDD a little quicker.
