[XP] Problem for 4 months

Well hello, im new here and i got a huge problem.
I have had my first build for 4 months now not working... Whenever i try to install XP, it gets to w/e percent it does and shuts off. I believe its an overheating problem, not sure. MY specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice core
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
1 gig RAM ( 2 512 sticks) Corsair Value Selects
Raptor 74 GB HDD
CD-Rom Drive
Themaltake Armor XASER 8000 Case
450 W PSU (Master Power from Comp USA)
- One day i tried taking out one of the memory sticks and it worked, but i had to uninstall windows for some reason and tried re-installing Windows, but had same problem. I have tooken my computer to 3 different computer repair places but no luck. Please help me.

Most likely problems:
1) Overheating (often a bad fan or poor design take the case side off and look)
2) Failing PSU
3) Bad RAM (Disable quick POST in the BIOS to perform a memory test)
4) Bad power
5) Other bad hardware
You took this to 3 different computer repair places that didn't fix it???? That sounds crazy.
Try taking the case side off and check RAM and post back.

Sounds like bad ram to me too.Win XP is very pernickety if it gets errors from bad ram during install.

What do u mean check memory? The temp of my CPU gets up to 76 degees celcius during installation also, i think it was not planning on going down either. When im in the Bios, i look at the temp and it goes up to 76 then turns off.

You can test the RAM without needing to boot into Windows. Either or both of these can be run from a floppy:

Windows Memory Diagnostic

If that CPU temp is constant, then i would definately investigate the heatsink and fan are free from dust, and if they are, you may want to re-apply some thermal paste.

Your cpu is running way to hot. I would do as laim suggested and reinstall the heat sink and use some decent thermal paste such as Arctic silver 5. The cpu you have should be running well under 50c if the conditions of your heat sink and case fans are ok and installed properly. And as Sparks has said bad ram will have the effects your are having trying to install the OS.
