Katrina RAM
Hi guys!
My friend just gave me an old Pentium 233MMX computer. It had only 32MB of RAM, which is useless to me. I added 256MB of RAM from my parent's old computer, which went underwater in Hurricane Katrina. Before installing the DIMMs, I cleaned them off good with contact cleaner. The PC posted, and counted all 256MB of RAM. Unfortunately, I cannot further test the RAM because the PC requires an old AT style keyboard which I do not have, and the HDD is shot. My question is: is it safe to use this RAM, which was immersed in salt water for days, and will this RAM corrode? It's been 6 months, and the DIMMs do not seem to be corroding any further, and the PC passes POST.
Any thoughts?
