Extending C:\
I have XP Pro with SP2. My c:\ drive is 7gig. I have 2gig of free unpartitioned space immediatly following the System partition. How can I extend c:\ to utilize that space.
I have extended other non-System NTFS partitions. But it appears that I can't extend C:\? Anyone have any ideas?

You can only do it with a 3rd party utility such as Partition Magic. There isn't any way of doing that from Windows unfortunately.

There is one freeware program that can deal with NTFS partitions...

Included on the Ultimate boot CD...

I'm downloading it now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

You can also easily turn the space into a second partition through disk management.

Steve, the problem is that I need to add that space to C:

After adding it to C:, are you going to create folders to store more stuff? If so, what's the difference between a different drive letter name and a folder name? :)
