Not much of a game yet either.Quote:
Not a touchdown...
I think it's quite a good game in reality ... but it truely does seem the refs are going to decide this game ... against Seattle. Another total turn-around now in P's favor based on a bad holding call.
Just to be clear, I am "for" Seattle ... but I've never seen such tickey-tacky calls against just one team ... and it's going to decide the game.
So, the media gets just what they wanted ........... Pitt'
I'll say one thing though... the commercials so far this year have been heads and tails better than last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, it'll be the first SB I've seen, and I've seen them all, that will be decided by the ref's ......... amazing.
Omg it made me so mad! Seahawks would be winning right now if it werent for the two bad calls:
The Steeler's touchdown (not a TD, but was made one by refs)
The Seahawks touchdown (was a legal TD)
It's the Superbowl of the refs this year and it's really jerking my chain .... honestly, there are no sour grapes here.
The MVP is Levy and his crew of zebras ... they won this for Pitt.
Lol I agree completely
Don't want this to start a war of words, and I am a Steeler's fan, however, FWIW, I thought the officiating was pretty much 'spot-on'.
The disputed TD was clearly a TD as shown with replay....and all in all an entertaining Superbowl....:D
We don't get the commercials here in Canada. The network that shows it up here uses their own every day ads.
Maybe if I was seeing the real super bowl commercials I would have enjoyed it more.
That's too bad, 'cause the ads made the dull start bareable.
The commercials were not all that good. The Rolling Stones seem to have started their "Steel Wheelchairs" tour in their usual discordant way. The 'Hawks lost. So much for #XL. Now I get to listen to my wife complain for a week (she's from Seattle) while I read that Denver is serious about Terrell Owens.
Tomorrow's another day!
If that disputed touchdown call would have been reversed and ended up as a field goal, and if the score had remained 3-3 at the half I would have won the second quarter in a $20.00/square football pool. Or $500.00 bucks. So you can see why I was upset with the call. I thought the officiating was not good-seemed to be a few bad calls-all against Seattle.
whew....that would tweak me as well....5c's...my condolences.Quote:

Thanks all ... I'm sad for both teams really. The Steelers have a storied history... and to be given one like this is not a victory for them. Steelers fans will differ with that of course. ;-)
I've just never seen a game called where the bias went in such a one sided manner... There are three teams on the field, Seattle didn't play their best ... the Steelers didn't either, but they got lucky on a hail mary or two ... and the Refs had a horrible game that cost Seattle a probable win.
Suppose the real test is this ... I didn't see either team "win" or "lose" ... I saw the refs have a major effect on the "swing" of the game. And for a fan, that is a horrible thing ... we saw a sad thing and we saw it in a Superbowl. Oh my, done deal for me... I want to see some real football, where the teams decide the game and not some two or three tickey tacky calls.
Sad for the fans...
Oh yeah, bummers that you don't get the ads Fink ... guess that makes sense for ours friends up north. Still, not fun...!
Couldn't agree more.Quote:

It was like watching the Lions vs. Texans.
More player mistakes and bad officiating then anything else.
I mean, how do you pick an mvp out of that mess?
I see they gave it to Hines Ward, that's safe.
I've always thought he is one of the NFL's premier receivers and about the only one who didn't screw up out there.
What's a SuperBowl??
