Hi, Please, how to clear INSERT HYPERLINK / RECENT FILES & BROWSED PAGES, especially the latter, the content of which I suspect might some sort of scumware? I have deleted Temp Internet Files, Offline Content & History; have deleted all Cookies; have cleared Documents Menu & Personal History (under Start Menu Progs) & for good measure emptied the Recycle Bin: all to no avail. I did not find anything helpfull on the "scumware" site. I surf but do not have a webpage. New-comer most grateful for your advice. Pete

Quit Internet Explorer. Go to Start | Run Type in "regedit" Now go to the following HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs You will see a list of URL1, URL2 etc. Delete the values that you don't want by highlighting the value, click on Edit, then click delete. Exit Regedit, and now turn off auto complete. Re-open Internet Explore, go to Tools | Internet Options | Content | AutoComplete. Check or uncheck as necessary
