High speed ram in a low speed MB

Is there any danger in running a higher speed ram on a lower speed MB?

For example, I have a MB that supports up to pc2700 (DDR333) ram. I'm pretty sure I can put pc3200 ram in there and it will run, just at the slower speed of 2700, cause that's all the MB will support. But, is there any danger of harming the MB or ram by doing this?

That basically is what I am doing. PC3200 at PC2700 speeds. Crucial ram is the brand I use.

Cool...pretty much what I thought.

FYI: The reason for the clarification is that a guy at Comp USA told my friend that doing that would fry the motherboard...I thought it was hogwash, but I wanted to be sure before I told my friend.
