Spyware Attack, Again

For my background of the spyware,

ok, now recently the “pop up” is coming back to me. Since last time i had clear the winfixer 2005 with help from crunchie. But yesterday its coming back to me, with it new friends name “PCSecurityShield” and spyware/virtumonde.

Yesterday
What happened first is CPU Usage become 99% in my explorer, then I receive a pop up from PCSecurityShield, I did not install it event the design look like Microsoft website, it is a spyware right? Then I restart computer. After restart I try to open IE and browse some page and that time winfixer pop up with “error on page” on IE (seem like it dead already). It did not display any thing on page but I know it is winfixer because I see the url is (www.winfixer.com/something....) . I had close it and try Norton scan and Spybot S&D but it scan nothing.

Today
I try to used activescan, suddently the PCSecurityShield pop up again, calling me to install but I did not install anything. So I run activescan and got 2 spyware on my computer.
1 more question before letting you see the report from active scan and log files.
My friends say that we just need to used system restore back to few day early to clear the spyware or virus, is it true? But why when I click the system restore, it asking me to active the system restore? I remember I had active it last time. Any idea?

so now i got 3 spyware to kill, that is : Winfixer, PCSecurityShield and spyware/virtumonde .

Please repost your log so that it is formatted like your first log. It is difficult to analyse with all those spaces.

I had follow the step as you say, but after I using activescan to scan my computer, it still show the 2 spyware, why?

i had "fix" the 2 files.
But I can not locate and delete C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\pmkhi.dll
I had try search it in that directory but it did not show up. And I also try all the computer files, result is nothing.

i had run the active scan, both of the spyware still there.

about the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\pmkhi.dll
i had to go to the directory using windows with show all hiddent files, but still can not locate it, and then i try dos windows. dir pmkhi.dll = nothing but dir/a/w/p pmkhi.dll, it show up. and i try to delete it, it say there is no such files .... but when i try to edit it, it can and show out all the funny words.

so how to delete that files? any idea?

Did you run active scan before or after the fix? Does active scan tell you where in the registry the file is?

Go here and download then run Silent Runners.vbs. It generates a log. Please post the information back in this thread.
If you have a script blocking program, please allow the file to run. It is not malicious.

I run after “fix it”. the active scan only tell me the files locate in c:\windows\system32\pmkhi.dll
I can not see it in windows but I can see it in dos.

Download the Pocket KillBox
Unzip the file to your desktop.
Run Pocket Killbox and paste the full file path of the below file in the box and click on Standard File Kill and End Explorer Shell While Killing File. Click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle after you the file.

c:\windows\system32\pmkhi.dll

Reboot afterwards if the file is successfully deleted.

If the file is not deleted, do not reboot yet. Run Pocket Killbox again and paste the full file path in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot.

Check to see if it has really gone now.

I had follow your instruction Download and run it, and follow your “step 1” standard file killer. It seems like it had back up and delete the files. ^^
I had go to dos and check, result = files not found.
I haven’t reboot yet. So what should I do now ?

To test that it is really gone, I suggest that you reboot, check for the file, then let me know. Also, please post a final (hopefully :)) hijackthis log.

Ok, I think is had been remove ^^.
I had run active scan on windows and result is empty/clear.

And when I run active scan “My Computer”, it come out :

is the backup that killbox creates and can be deleted.

The first one......without an exact location it is hard to say.
