[RESOLVED] More Problems, Zonealarm Help please
Hello All, since getting rid of Norton Security and installing Zonealarm 3.1 and Norton Anti-virus 2005 with worm protection i have had problems, which, are being sorted, or where being.
BIG Problem. i installed the latest version of Zonealarm, thinking that it would allow Google search bar and one or two other programs to appear in my Systray, BAD decision.
I allowed Zonealarm New version 6 to download over my previous version 3.1, and now i have a Not working version of Zonealarm. It says in big Red Letters System Error, Please Reboot
I have rebooted and rebooted my computer many times, still not working, not protecting. I installed a fresh copy having uninstalled the previous version 6, still the same. I even went and allowed Pro to trial to sort it out.
Please can anyone help??
Sent an email to Zonelabs but could be days before i get an answer.
Thanks, GEP
Re:Zonealarm Reverted back to Version ZA 3.1 from 6
Hello All, tried to get registered on Zonealarm, had trouble, but eventual did.
Seems that there is a Fault with Version 6 and they are working to fix it, it has affected quite a few.
So, if it is not known here, don't touch Zonealarm 6 until there website, or website forums have the fix.
Well good news, did a System restore, installed version 3.1 (Good job i did not delete it) there was a problem in that inside 3.1 i could not choose anythink as it was mostly blank, programs etc on left where missing, but looked like it was operating besides that, so i Uninstalled version 3.1 Chose Clean Install, rebooted installed version 3.1 again and version 3.1 is in full operation.
