After our last automatic update, which was Monday,we have started having this problem. When we try to shut down our computer, we get an error message; Internet Exlporer (or program) not responding, and it has a place you can click to end now or cancel. If we click end now it will go ahead and close and log off. If we click cancel it just sits there. So we try to log off again and the same thing happens. What was on the update that may have caused this "not responding" message? Our laptop has been doing the same thing for a few weeks longer. It takes a long time if we do nothing and let it sit there and try to respond. It is annoying.
We have Win XP, IE 6. We have not upgraded to SP2 at this point if that matters. Thanks.
